Former Extinction Rebellion activist Zion Lights says nuclear power is needed and it's the solution for reducing emissions without destroying living standards and livelihoods. “There is a lot of fear around nuclear power, and so many myths and misconceptions,” Ms Lights told Sky News. “The science is telling us nuclear is safe. Ms Lights said comments about her stance on nuclear power from her ex colleagues have been mixed. “Some people are just so afraid of nuclear power and misunderstand the facts so much that there is no convincing them. “But I’ve also had some support and a surprising number of people who said we agree and now I’m saying to them will you come out and say you are pro nuclear, and campaign with me. “I think it’s really important we do it.”
