Firefighters worked to contain a brush fire threatening homes in Santa Clarita, California, on July 30. The Railroad fire prompted evacuations in the area, as the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department confirmed 11 homes on Alder Drive and three homes on Trumpet Drive were affected by the blaze. An evacuation center was set up at Golden Valley High School. No civilian injuries were reported, but three firefighters were taken to hospital for minor injuries. At the time of writing, the blaze was 85 percent contained. Credit: City of Santa Clarita via Storyful
