Labor has ‘almost no hope’ without the Greens’ preferences: Credlin

Sky News host Peta Credlin says that ‘without the Greens and their preferences’, Bill Shorten ‘stands almost no hope of winning’ the May election, as Labor’s primary vote is much lower than it needs to be if Mr Shorten is to ‘win in his own right’. Ms Credlin says that wherever the Greens go, the Labor party follows down ‘the same economically destructive path’, which she says is evident in the party's climate change policy released on Monday. Labor has announced plans to cut emissions by 45 per cent by 2030 and reach a 50 per cent renewable energy target by 2050. Ms Credlin says the climate plan will change the way Australians live and work, and will mean higher power prices, more costs on industries and manufacturing jobs migrating offshore.
