The New South Wales Attorney General has announced he will not intervene in the 49-year-old murder case of Wollongong toddler, Cheryl Grimmer. A suspect, who confessed to the murder in 1971, was due to face court earlier this month but walked free because a judge ruled his confession could not be used as evidence because he was underage at the time he made it. Cheryl Grimmer's family urged Attorney General Mark Speakman to revisit the case, but he decided against it on the advice that any appeal was likely to fail. Image: News Corp Australia
