Sydney man found guilty of wife’s murder

A Sydney man who stabbed his wife 14 times with a knife has been found guilty of murder. Shahab Ahmed killed his wife, Khondkar Faihi Elahi, in their Parramatta unit in 2017. The New South Wales Supreme Court heard he attacked her after finding out she was having an affair with his colleague. The 35-year-old pleaded not guilty to a judge only trial, claiming the partial defense of substantial impairment by abnormality of the mind. He offered to plead guilty to manslaughter, but that was rejected. Image: News Corp Australia
