A photographer in Gretna, near Hobart, Tasmania, shot stunning footage of the Eta Aquarid meteor shower between May 6 and May 7. The phenomenon is a result of reactions between the Earth’s atmosphere and debris from Halley’s Comet, resulting in the sparkling display. NASA said the shower would be best viewed from the Southern Hemisphere, and would be visible for about a week before and after May 6. Credit: Henry Qian via Storyful
