Flu cases so far in 2019 are alarmingly high with more than 35,000 confirmed bouts of influenza. The National Centre for Immunisation Research has warned of a horror flu season, with 4,000 flu-related deaths predicted across the country. Doctors believe the high number of flu cases this early in the season have come from overseas and subsequently, Australian flu vaccines have been tweaked to match strains in the northern hemisphere.
