An Air India plane flying to the United States has been escorted by British fighter jets to land in London, following a bomb hoax threat. The flight was due to arrive in New Jersey, but pilots were forced to make an emergency stop-over, after a threatening phone call to Mumbai airport. Typhoon fighters chased down the plane at supersonic speed to ensure it landed safely. Officials say there is no ongoing threat and an investigation has been launched into the incident.
