Child safety workers in Tasmania will go on strike on Thursday over a wage dispute. They will join hundreds of public sector workers in Tasmania who have already walked off the job, as tensions between the government and unions continue. Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgman has announced the matter will be referred to the independent Tasmanian Industrial Commission to resolve the dispute.
