One person died and three others were injured after a 30-foot-by-25-foot section of an oceanfront bluff collapsed at Grandview Beach in Encinitas, California, on Friday, August 2, local media reported. According to a report from the Los Angeles Times, the collapse happened at about 2.25 pm on Grandview Beach, near the stairs leading to the beach from Neptune Avenue. One woman was declared dead at the scene, one person was airlifted to a local hospital, and two others were transported by ambulance, the report said. One person declined treatment at the scene.
