August 22, 2019. Alan Sullivan QC leaves court after sidelined St George Illawarra star Jack de Belin abandoned his Federal Court appeal over the NRL's contentious stand-down policy. Sullivan, who represents the NRL, says the decision to drop the appeal was a sound one. "The rule has been upheld and vindicated, it was a very strong decision from the trial judge," he says. Shortly afterwards de Belin's lawyer Arthur Moses SC leaves court. (AAP Video/Andrew Leeson)
