NZ imposes ban on foreign donations more than $50

The New Zealand government will ban all foreign donations of more than $50 to political parties and candidates. According to New Zealand’s Justice Minister Andrew Little, the initiative will be introduced to parliament on Tuesday afternoon “under urgency”. Foreign donations below the $50 threshold will still be permitted, as it will fall into the category of small-scale fundraising activities. Image: AP
