Australia should demand reform of ‘inept’ WHO

Australia is entitled to demand the World Health Organisation reform off the back of its “inept” handling of the coronavirus pandemic, Outsiders host Rita Panahi says. Ms Panahi said from the beginning of the crisis the WHO “uncritically accepted the lies” handed to them by China. “From the very start of this crisis the WHO has kowtowed to China and uncritically accepted the lies the communist regime fed them,” she said. "Donald Trump has halted US funding to the WHO but despite harsh criticism of the UN body from our politicians we will continue to pour millions into this broken, politicised and inept outfit. "Australia gives the WHO more than $50 million a year, considerably more than what China gives them. "The very least we can do is to demand that our money is conditional on some meaningful change at the organisation." Image: AP
