South Australia has recorded another COVID-19 death after a 76 year old man died in the Royal Adelaide Hospital overnight, making it the third death for the state in three days. A virus hotspot sprung up in the state after two tour groups from the United States and Switzerland travelled through the Barossa Valley region two weeks ago where at least 34 cases have been confirmed. Six more virus patients remain in intensive care with four in a critical condition as SA reports another five cases, taking the state’s total to 420. The state government announced on Thursday small businesses with a turnover of more than $75,000 and annual wage bill less than $1.5 million could be eligible for a $10,000 payment as part of a $650 million jobs rescue stimulus package to assist businesses impacted by the pandemic.
