Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced students in Kindergarten, Prep, Year 11 and Year 12 will return to schools for face-to-face learning by May 11. Ms Palaszczuk said the rollout of the plan would be "closely monitored" and "assessed" by May 15 for a full return to all students in the state by May 25. "I say that with caution because if there's any rise between now and May 25, we have to act with caution," she said. "Last night, we only had three new cases and they were largely from overseas." The Premier said she was "very pleased" with the arrangement but was turning her focus this week to "setting out a similar plan" for her state - in line with National Cabinet plans - to "get people back into work".
