Dining out is “certainly going to look slightly different to what it did pre-COVID,” Restaurant and Catering Industry Association CEO Wes Lambert says. The national cabinet will meet on Friday to consider reopening cafes and restaurants under eased restrictions. Mr Lambert told Sky News the main focus for businesses was ensuring they were “COVID-safe” when they reopened. “It is mostly about social distancing – and touch points,” he said. “Also, it’s really up to diners, it’s very important that they follow the #eatalonetogether and that they continue to patronize their favourite businesses. “Your favourite restaurant will only survive if you go out and dine.” Image: AP
