Boris Johnson is presiding over ‘mob rule on the streets of London’

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be judged as “one of the weakest leaders” of modern times unless he swiftly brings an end to the “mob rule on the streets of London” according to Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage. More than 100 people were arrested during a day of unrest in central London this weekend with police struggling to keep anti-racism protesters and rival demonstrators apart. As Black Lives Matter supporters gathered in Hyde Park, a crowd of people - some of them far-right activists - gathered in Parliament Square, where they were claiming to protect statues. In response to the unrest, Mr Johnson tweeted: "Racist thuggery has no place on our streets. Anyone attacking the police will be met with full force of the law. These marches & protests have been subverted by violence and breach current guidelines. Racism has no part in the UK and we must work together to make that a reality." Mr Farage told Sky News while he does not support the conduct of some of the protesters, many of them “were reacting to the robbery” of the Black Lives Matter protesters. He said there has been a concerning “leadership vacuum” as anarchy raged on London’s streets. “With leadership, you have to stand up, be brave and make tough calls,” Mr Farage said. “At this moment in time he (Boris Johnson) is looking like one of the weakest leaders we have seen and someone who frankly, doesn’t fit the category of Australia. "It was under his watch we have seen mob rule on the streets of London.”
