Highways in western Nevada remained closed on Tuesday morning, January 4, as high winds and ice made travel dangerous. Interstate 580 and US Route 395 were closed in Washoe Valley due to the conditions, the sheriff’s office said on Tuesday morning. Officials said the Nevada Department of Transportation would reassess the situation at 7 am.
