Timelapse Shows Fire Flaring Up Again at South African Parliament

A fire at South Africa’s National Assembly in Cape Town flared up again on Monday, January 3, a day after the blaze gutted a floor of the Old Assembly building and caused a roof to collapse, SABC News reported. This timelapse footage shows smoke billowing from a building in the complex in the late afternoon. The flareup followed earlier reports that the fire had been contained, News 24 said. According to the news outlet, six fire engines and 34 firefighters were dispatched to the scene. A suspect was arrested in connection with the fire on Sunday, and was due to appear in court on Tuesday. Credit: Anonymous via Storyful
