Just Stop Oil Protesters Spray Paint on Luxury Car Dealerships in London

Just Stop Oil activists sprayed orange paint on a number of luxury car dealerships in London on the morning of Wednesday, October 26, as the group’s campaign against new oil and gas licenses continued. Video released by Just Stop Oil shows people spraying orange paint on the windows of the dealerships, on Berkeley Square. In a press statement, the group said it targeted Bugatti, Bentley, and Ferrari showrooms. A man is heard in the video asking, “What are you doing? You’re a disgrace.” Carmen Lean, an architecture student from Glasgow, said: “We pay exorbitant bills for oil and gas but it’s nothing compared to the price our kids will pay for it. New oil and gas is a death sentence for people all around the world. “You can throw us in prison but it won’t stop our outrage at this government throwing millions of people under the bus,” she continued. “We’re not asking for no new oil, we’re demanding it.” Just Stop Oil said that since its campaign began at the start of April, supporters have been arrested 1,900 times, with seven currently in prison.
