Three front runners have emerged in the contest for the position of the United Kingdom's Prime Minister after outgoing Prime Minister Liz Truss announced her resignation. The three front runners are former British prime minister Boris Johnson, Leader of the House of Commons Penny Mordaunt and former finance minister Rishi Sunak. Currently only Ms Mordaunt has declared her intention to run for the position.
