CommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says we saw “much lower than expected” CPI figures come out of the United States, which is welcomed news for the markets and households in the country. “Having peaked in June, just over nine per cent, the headline rate of inflation came in at 7.7 per cent in October,” he told Sky News Australia. “So that was below forecast of an eight per cent outcome. “Importantly, the core measure of inflation was also lower than expected.” Presented by CommSec.
