According to a new survey published in the Daily Telegraph, three in four mothers feel negatively scrutinised over their decision whether to breastfeed their newborn. The research, which surveyed over 1,000 mothers, found that while 88% breastfed, 77% felt they were judged by others whether they were breastfeeding. In other results, 65% of women felt of loneliness and frustration when it came to breastfeeding. News Corp senior writer Lanai Scarr says the figures show new parents need more support on ‘their breastfeeding journey.’
