The Queensland opposition has asked the government to explain whether tax payer funds have been wasted after Air China confirmed it will suspend its four-times-a-week Beijing-Brisbane flights. Labor announced the route less than a year ago following a funding deal with the airline and Queensland tourism agencies. Shadow Treasurer Tim Mander says at the moment it seems likely that Queensland taxpayers have been 'dudded' when it comes to this deal.
