The man who was almost killed by the notorious 'Black Widow' murderer Patricia Byers fears he could be targeted should she be released on parole. Ms Buyers, otherwise known as the 'Black Widow' killer, has served almost 25 years of a life sentence after she shot John Victor Asquith in the head with a sawn-off shot guy as he slept in his yatchy they were staying in at Queensland's Moreton Bay. MR Asquith survived and subsequently went to testify against his partner. It was then police deduced Ms Buyers had killed her former partner, Carel Gottgens, in 1990. National Editor of True Crime Australia Charles Miranda says Mr Asquith is concerned he could be targeted by his would-be-killer if she was released on parole.
