Crowds have continued to flock into Sydney’s CBD for Monday's New Year's Eve celebrations despite a major storm forecast and extensive train delays. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued for parts of NSW, with ominous storm clouds gathering over Sydney, while trains into the city are delayed for up to an hour. Despite this, organisers still expect up to a million people to watch the fireworks, which will pay tribute to the late Aretha Franklin.
