Thousands of fireworks lit up the the sky above London’s CBD as the UK welcomed 2019. Over than 100,000 people lined the banks of the Thames to watch as eight tonnes of fireworks were set off from three barges and from the London Eye. The theme addressed the Brexit controversy miring the UK, with theme centering around the phrase ‘London is open.’ Meanwhile thousands of people flocked to Champs-Elysees in Paris to watch the spectacular fireworks show.
