Former US police officer Mohamed Noor has been found guilty of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, but not guilty of second-degree murder over the death of Sydney woman Justine Ruszczyk Damond. Ms Ruszczyk Damond was fatally shot by Noor after calling 911 to report hearing a possible sexual assault outside her Minneapolis home in July 2017. The US jury handed down its verdict on Tuesday night local time after deliberating for two days. Ms Ruszczyk Damond's father, John Ruszczyk, told media his family was 'satisfied with the outcome'. Noor is due to be sentenced on June 7.
