One of the former US intelligence chiefs named in the Mueller report has confirmed US President Donald Trump called him to discuss damaging news stories linking his campaign to Russia interference. Admiral Michael Rogers was head of the National Security Agency under the Barack Obama and Donald Trump administrations until he resigned in 2018. The Mueller report says President Trump called Mr Rogers in March 2017 to ask him to refute news stories about alleged Russian collusion. Admiral Rogers has told Sky News the call did happen, but the President wasn't directing him to do anything.
