Paris police clash with protestors at May Day march

Protestors and police have clashed in Paris, as thousands take part in the annual May Day march. More than 200 people have reported been arrested, as authorities deploy water cannon and tear gas at masked demonstrators. More than 7,000 police officers have been deployed to the protest, following six months of demonstrations fuelled by anger over President Emmanuel Macron's economic policies. Protestors have called the rally the 25th Act in their 'yellow vest' movement after 24 consecutive Saturday demonstrations. Image: News Corp Australia
