A 10-year-old has become the latest to die from the flu in Western Australia as the state’s toll rises to 11. The boy was initially rushed to Perth Children's Hospital with a fever but quickly developed other complications including a seizure. On Monday night, his family was forced to turn his life support off. The influenza vaccination is free for children under five, nation-wide.
