Protesters in Wenceslas Square Demand Prime Minister’s Resignation

Thousands of protesters filled Wenceslas Square in Prague, Czech Republic, on June 4, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Andrej Babis after an European Union Commission report revealed conflicts of interest, Czech media said. Tuesday’s protest drew as many as 120,000 demonstrators, making it the largest such gathering since the 1989 Velvet Revolution, organizers of the “A Million Moments for Democracy” group told the BBC. Similar protests have taken place throughout the past weeks. About 50,000 protesters filled Wenceslas Square two weeks ago, local media reported.
