Two escape from North Sydney house fire

Two people have escaped with their lives after a fire tore through a home in North Sydney. More than 50 firefighters were called to the house fire on Sunday night, where they fought the blaze under difficult conditions. Two people were found in the home's backyard after they managed to escape through a side door. Authorities were initially told there were five occupants inside the home but are now confident no one was trapped inside.
