Debris from a cargo ship could continue to wash up on eastern beaches for several days after 40 shipping containers fell overboard into waters off NSW. Waste from China, including surgical masks and plastic containers, washed up on beaches from Sydney to the Central Coast. An investigation is underway into the incident to determine whether the containers were properly stacked and secured. The ship is currently docked in Brisbane, en route from China to Melbourne.
