A Melbourne abattoir remained open for nearly a month after the first worker tested positive to the coronavirus, health officials have revealed. The Victorian health department advised Cedar Meats to shutdown for a deep clean on April 29 after numerous more cases were identified among workers. Authorities recorded 49 infections linked to the outbreak, making it the largest virus cluster in the state. Cedar Meats has remained closed as all 300 workers undergo testing while in self-isolation. Image: News Corp Australia
