Anzac Day should “commemorate the past” while promoting the “welfare of the living” according to Veterans advocate Glenn Kolomeitz. He praised the decision to convene a Royal Commission into veteran suicide but said the families "must have a guiding hand" in the drafting of terms of reference. “State and federal governments are starting to get it right. They’re starting to focus on transition out of the defence and veteran’s affairs,” he told Sky News.
