Australian Jock Palfreeman has left Bulgaria for the first time in 13 years after he was arrested and charged with murder. He said he was forced to leave due to pressure from a political party despite wanting to stay and repay a debt he felt he owed the family of the man he killed. Jock Palfreeman’s whereabouts has not been publicly disclosed because he is concerned for his safety after receiving death threats in the Balkan nation. The Australian was found guilty of murder and attempted murder during a street brawl in 2007 and has always maintained he acted in self defense.
