Driver Rescued After Truck Crashes Into Building in Michigan

First responders rescued a truck driver after his vehicle crashed into a building in Oxford, Michigan, north of Detroit, in the early hours of Friday, October 15. Oxford Township reported that a deputy with the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene early on Friday morning, entered the damaged building, and “extricated” the driver. Local firefighters also assisted in helping the injured driver walk away from the scene, the Oxford Fire Department said. According to local reports, the driver, a 40-year-old male, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. This footage, posted to Facebook by the Oxford Fire Department, shows the truck sticking out of the building.
