Former Prime Minister John Howard has backed Dominic Perrottet to become the next NSW Premier. Speaking to Sky News Australia, the party elder said the treasurer is the best person to replace Gladys Berejiklian as premier, following her resignation on Friday. Mr Perrottet hasn't publicly confirmed he's running but John Howard has spoken to the treasurer and is endorsing his tilt for the top job.
