Cyclone Shaheen battered Oman with rain and strong winds of October 3 and 4, leaving at least 13 dead between the Gulf state and Iran. Footage here shows water cascading down the side of a rocky outcrop near Muscat. Early on October 4, local authorities in Oman downgraded Shaheen from a cyclone to a tropical storm and later to a tropical depression. Heavy rainfall was expected to continue across parts of the country’s north on Monday. The storm is the first tropical cyclone to affect Oman’s northern coast in modern recordkeeping, according to Yale Climate Connections. Credit: @al3mri_photo via Storyful
