A swollen river coursed through Leeds Memorial Park in Leeds, Alabama, on Monday, October 4, as the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flash flood watch, in effect until Wednesday. The NWS said, “Heavy rainfall will be the concern through Wednesday across much of the region,” with heaviest rains expected across the eastern half of Alabama. The flash flood watch is expected to be extended through most of the day on Wednesday. Bill Dawson posted this footage showing the effect of the heavy rain so far in Leeds Memorial Park.
