‘This never leaves us’: Survivors mark anniversary of Bali bombings

Bali bombings survivor Jan Laczynski had left the Sari Club in Kuta earlier in the night before one of three bombs detonated just outside the venue on October 12, 2002. The bombs killed 202 people in total, including 88 Australians, making it the single largest loss of Australian life due to an act of terror. Mr Laczynski spoke with Sky News Australia about his experience of the attacks. “This never leaves us,” Mr Laczynski said. “There is no finish line to these anniversaries for us. “We want to make sure that these people are never forgotten – they were all young, they were all in their twenties and thirties, some even in their teens.”
