In the remote town of Surat in central Queensland, a game meats business is providing great opportunities for the population. Warroo Game Meats employs around 10 per cent of Surat’s working age population, and pumps $1 million into the town via salaries. The business was first started 20 years ago by the Mickelborough family, and sold pet food before expanding into high quality game meats. Image: Lyndon Mechielsen / News Corp Australia
