Queensland fire and emergency services have downgraded a bushfire at Walsh River in Queensland’s north from ‘emergency’ to ‘watch and act’. The announcement comes after 11 people, including three children, were rescued by helicopter from the Blackwater Blackdown Tableland National Park. The QFES warns smoke could affect those in the vicinity of the national park.
