A 7.5-magnitude earthquake shook northern Sulawesi in Indonesia on Friday, September 28, as confirmed by Indonesia’s disaster management agency (BNPB) on the same day. The quake triggered a tsunami which caused waves as high as 6 metres (20 feet) to roll through the coastal city of Palu. According to a BNPB official at least 50 people were trapped beneath the ruins of the Roa Roa Hotel in Palu city. In this video, rescuers are seen carrying a body from the mound of ruins. As of September 30, at least 832 people were reported dead as a result of the earthquake and tsunami in Sulawesi, according to BNPB. Credit: BNPB via Storyful
