A couple from Paradise, California, whose home burned down as a result of the northern California wildfire in November didn’t allow the disaster to destroy their sense of romance. Lukas Schnoor shared video on December 17 of the moment he proposed to his girlfriend, Cassie Oxley, on the steps of what was once their home. “Her ring is three stones for past, present, and future. I asked her to marry me at the top step,” wrote Schnoor on Instagram. “Here is to another step in building our future together.” The video had 1,265 views at the time of writing.
