US President Donald Trump has signed a bill to reopen the government for three weeks until 15 February, after a record-breaking shutdown of federal agencies. The deal does not include any of the $US5.7 billion that President Trump demanded for his US-Mexico border wall. Some 800,000 federal employees have been either furloughed or working without pay since 22 December, plunging many government departments into disarray.
