The second and final day of George Pell's appeal hearing begins on Thursday. On Wednesday, his legal team argued the cardinal had a ‘real alibi’ as they fought in Victoria's Supreme Court to have his conviction for sexually abusing two choirboys overturned. The 77-year-old was sentenced to six years in jail with a non-parole period of three years and eight months. Pell continues to maintain his innocence.
