Labor finds it ‘very difficult to bite the hand that feeds’

Michael Sukkar is calling on Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese to ‘no longer accept money from the CFMMEU' while John Setka remains the union's leader. The Assistant Treasurer says Mr Setka ‘has been allowed to conduct himself in the most inappropriate way for literally year.’ ‘I can only put that down to the fact the Labor Party finds it very difficult to bite the hand that feeds them,’ Mr Sukkar has told Sky News. His remarks come as Attorney-General Christian Porter weighs up deregistering the union amid the Coalition’s push to pass its Ensuring Integrity bill, which would make it easier to crack down on unions and officials that break the law.
