In the wake of the Coalition’s surprise election win, News Corp Australia Executive Chairman Michael Miller is rejecting claims the outcome was a victory for the media company. Mr Miller says such a suggestion ‘underestimates the intelligence of the Australian population’. Rather, he believes New Corp editors were ‘very connected to the mind and mood’ of the electorate, and they consistently read into the ‘ambitions, fears, and motivations of our communities’ in their election coverage.
